MARISA PREFER • BREATHING ROOM

July 20 - August 8, 2012

Breathing Room is an inflatable environment by Marisa Prefer, designed to be a temporary structure for gathering and interaction. Fitted to an existing intake-fan, the environment takes its shape from variations in temperature and airflow influenced by the presence of inhabitants.

Breathing Room is part of a series of ongoing investigations by Prefer into elemental forces, liminal spaces, and their capacity for transformation.

Concurrent events have been scheduled throughout the run of Breathing Room to make use of the environment, including a dance performance, several musical performances, and a group art show, Noodle Beaches for Meeting Witches III, curated by Greem Jellyfish.
